Miles Hurt: creator of epic fantasy

Welcome to my website! This is where you can find updates about my writing journey. At the moment I’m neck-deep in the creation of an epic fantasy series called the Wandering Knife. Book One, ‘Red Harvest Moon’ was released in 2021, and Book Two ‘The Riven Crown’ will be released in October of 2024.

As a rough guide to the kind of fiction I write, my influences are Tolkien (of course), Miyazaki, and Mervyn Peake, among others. Although I appreciate the gritty modern fantasy that is out there thesedays, I lean towards high fantasy but written in an accessible, modern style.
